Transmission Levers assist with the engagement and disengagement of caster brakes within a central locking medical bed system. Many systems utilize a hex-shaped bar to connect two wheels. The transmission lever also attaches to this bar and is also connected to a transmission bar. The transmission bar allows the action of the initial hex bar to impact the secondary hex bar connected to the other two wheels, similar to an automotive driveshaft.
The Rhombus Long Transmission Lever measures 3-1/2″ in overall length, and has two hex hole options: 11mm or 7/16″.
